NorthWest Indiana Parrothead Club

Some call us Angels in tropical shirts. We feel a strong commitment to our communities and the needs of others, while living life to its fullest. Our past charity recipients include Walk for the Homeless in Michigan City, American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, Highway Clean-ups, Spring Valley Homeless Shelter furniture donations, Food Pantry donation days, Opportunity Enterprises, The Indiana Department of Child Services, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Relay for Life, Walk to End Alzheimer's, New Creations Men Shelter, Zonta Walk, Porter County Special Olympics, Alliance for the Great Lakes, Cops and Kids in Lake and Porter Counties, The Humane Society, and the list goes on and on.

The Northwest Indiana Parrothead Club is part of a larger group, Parrot Heads in Paradise, and together we make the world a better place. 2018 closed the year with 22,424 members. Those 22,000+ members make up the 213 Clubs who are the heart and soul of Parrot Heads In Paradise! Last year’s fundraising efforts amounted to a whopping $3,419,104. More importantly, we generously donated 211,600  hours of our valuable time! Our 17 year total: $53.5 million and 4,224,000 million volunteer hours.  We support other National Parrot Head Groups. There is always something going on someplace in the country. We always have a phun time. Of course, we love Jimmy Buffett and organize trips to concerts. We have at least one but usually two pub crawls per year, an awesome "Christmas in January", Summer Party, and try to tie in some libation testing after the beach cleanups.

2019 will be a new and different year. Most meetings are on the third Friday of the month, however, during the summer we look for weather friendly locations and meet on Saturdays.
